Job Summary:
We have an immediate opening in our Walnut Creek, CA sales office for an Area Manager. The primary function of this position is responsibility for the sales and operations of the office, including daily activities of sales office staff and distribution center.

Key Job Responsibilities:
Achieve sales, expense, and operating income budget
Supervision and direction of office and distribution center staff
Motivation of personnel through positive reinforcement, team environment, communication of clear objectives, and performance reviews
Conduct monthly Quality Control reviews and review with CSRs
Responsible for Sales Office semi-annual business plan
Develop and implement center budget semi annually
Implement corporate sales strategies with quantifiable objectives specific to the market
Participate in community organizations to enhance visibility
Understand competitive forces and develops strategies to overcome them
Maintain sales coverage for vacant sales territories
Participate in monthly Area Manager meetings
Maintain accounts receivable at corporate objective
Work ship not billed to achieve corporate objective
Monitor and distribute work via Right Fax and Work Flow to ensure customer service level expectations are met
Ensure timely and accurate resolution of assigned Onyx incidents
Process time cards, deposits, etc.
Responsible for regulatory compliance and sales office audits
Interview, select, ensure orientation and training, and when necessary discipline and/or discharge departmental personnel
Inventory preparation
Safety/OSHA/facilities management
Miscellaneous projects as assigned by manager
Experience/Qualifications/Education:
Bachelor’s degree
5 years customer service supervisor/management experience
Proven track record of achieving sales, expense, and operating income budgets
Sales aptitude and problem resolution
Experience with financial planning and budget issues
Familiar with managed care and third party programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Capable of building effective sales teams within the sales location and achieving success in a fast-paced, changing industry
