Chief Operating Officer

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) provides vision, leadership, engagement and organizational direction and management its clinical service programs, departments, and functions. This position ensures strategies within areas of accountability are in alignment with the ASL Strategic Plan and imperatives. The COO is engaged in and accountable for leadership and management of the functions assigned under the direction of the President, and acts as a surrogate leader in the absence of the President.

As the Chief Medical Officer, you will assist in coordinating performance improvement, resource management, and quality related activities of the hospital and assures that the performance improvement and utilization management plans of the medical center meet the requirements of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO) and other regulatory bodies. Also, responsible for integrating both quality and cost information through data driven initiatives, and for ensuring the appropriate involvement required by the various physician departments and committees.
