The Senior Director, will be responsible for running the web hosting business which hosts thousands of websites for member florists. The Senior Director, will oversee a team of ecommerce professionals specializing in product, operations, support and marketing. The team aims to grow the number of sites hosted for florists and to optimize existing site performance through various measures including SEO, SEM, email marketing, ongoing platform enhancements and excellent customer service.
Recently made a significant investment to upgrade their web hosting platform which now runs on Oracle Commerce. The upgraded platform provides a pivotal opportunity for a new business leader to help guide future growth opportunities and strategic initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be a driven leader with strong general management skills, highly analytical, adept at problem solving and have a proven track record of managing teams and delivering results. Previous management consulting experience and or e-commerce experience in a B2B environment is a plus but not required. This role will work closely with finance, technology, sales and directly with customers on a consistent if not daily basis.
Based in Los Angeles, the Senior Director, will report to the Chief Financial Officer. This role will lead a team of 25 through 3 direct reports located in both Los Angeles, California and the company's technology and operations facilities in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Paragould, Arkansas.
Here's What You'll Do
Lead, motivate and develop a team of e-commerce professionals across multiple locations providing vision, direction and guidance as well as mentoring and career planning.
Identify and prioritize opportunities that will provide revenue growth and margin improvements.
Partner with the IT and Sales organization in the development of product and service enhancements.
Have a strong focus on customer satisfaction and retention.
Have P&L responsibility for the business including budgeting, forecasting, monitoring and overseeing departmental budget.
Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet its strategic and financial goals.
Keep current with the latest e-commerce technology, trends, solutions and providers to keep the platform and offerings competitive.
Here's What You'll Bring To The Table
10+ years of experience in management consulting, ecommerce, analytics, general management and/or other relevant experience with at least 5 years in a leadership and team management role and a track record of increased responsibility.
Superior problem solving and analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative).
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be comfortable presenting complex models and marketing results to senior executives.
Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects.
Demonstrated record of partnering with teams across the organization and influencing to achieve business results across multiple teams.
Previous experience with top-tier management consulting firm preferred
BA/ BS required. MBA or advance degree preferred.
Up to 20% travel required.
