Job Location: Philadelphia, PA USA
The Integrated Supply Chain Manager, North America oversees a team of professionals and managers accountable for developing and executing demand, supply, and inventory plans for finished goods at the North America formulation production sites and warehouses. Plans focus on delivering against NA business financial targets and ensuring adherence to goals for service levels, inventory management, logistic costs, and capacity utilization. This role is also accountable for managing the NA Customer Service organization that supports North America Crop and Global Specialty Solution teams with day-to-day management.
Responsibilities
• Facilitates the NA Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings for the NA business.
• Manages all aspects of demand and supply planning and customer service.
• Directs a group of planning supervisors and planners accountable for leading/facilitating demand and supply meetings within the region that form the input to the NA S&OP meetings.
• Direct a Customer Service manager accountable for order management, complaint management, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Works closely with commercial business managers to ensure all special and regional sales programs are communicated and planned. Resolves any supply conflicts and makes trade-off decisions as needed based on the business strategy.
• Supports new product introduction and transitions through collaboration across several functions.
• Develops a detailed understanding of demands and constraints and capabilities of the formulation production/distribution/warehouse locations. Works closely with manufacturing managers to determine the right product mix at the formulation sites, ensuring the configuration is sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective to the organization taking into consideration demand patterns, inventory policies, capacity requirements, and differentiated service targets. Leads the analysis and scenario planning to identify potential gaps and opportunities across multiple supply networks. Communicates findings and recommendations to the appropriate stakeholders for buy-in and execution.
• Drives root-cause analysis on deviations vs. performance targets for S&OP Metrics, Global Supply Chain Planning Performance Metrics, CS metrics, and ensures the subsequent corrective actions are implemented on a timely basis. Participates in Global Supply Reviews, to ensure relevant issues are raised at the meeting and any follow-up actions or decisions are communicated back to the organization.
• Cultivates the relationship with all internal and external business partners to ensure alignment on business goals and effective communications. Drives rapid resolution on any open/anticipated issues that can jeopardize teams from reaching goals.
• Champions the implementation of standardized processes for demand planning, supply planning, and order to cash, technology, and improvement initiatives in the region. Leads efforts on the corresponding communication and change management actions.
• Develops and nurtures team members to their full potential, and builds talent capabilities that are sustainable and adequate for future growth.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree, typically from the science disciplines, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management
• Advanced Supply Chain or Project Management Certification preferred (CSCP, CPIM, CPM)
• 10+ years experience in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, and/or Materials management with at least 3 years in a prior leadership role
• Established ability to plan and coordinate workflows and outputs efficiently across multiple functional groups and geographies
• Strong ability to manage a team and align group objectives, timeframes, and deliverables, as well as to provide actionable feedback to keep processes and deliverables on track
• Excellent communication skills to create effective interactions and exhibit influence with multiple functional groups and levels of the organization. Includes the ability to present and sell ideas, plans, and recommendations through strong personal influence-building skills that lead to consensus decisions and plans. These interactions cover multiple levels in the origination including stakeholders that report to and include corporate Executives
• Demonstrated ability to create, implement, measure, control, and improve processes and deliver results that satisfy requirements for internal and/or external customers
• Ability to conduct root cause analysis reviews and develop corrective actions based on supply chain information as well as metric-driven gaps.
• Aptitude to think critically about issues, form objective opinions, make timely/effective decisions, and hold the appropriate parties accountable for the outcomes
• Demonstrated leadership and commitment to valuing diversity and inclusion and change management skills
• Strong computer systems knowledge including, ERP knowledge (SAP preferred) and experience with advanced planning software (IBP, APO, etc.)
