A Clinical Pharmacist contributes to the organization by expanding primary care functions of pharmacists at more than one site to provide individualized health promotion and disease prevention, including administration of vaccines, long-acting HIV treatments, diabetes monitoring, nicotine reduction programs and other subject matters, in collaboration with other providers.


A Clinical Pharmacist enhances the reputation of the organization by providing valuable contributions to more than one location by bringing “best practice” and collaborative ideas, as well as providing consistent application of processes, procedures, and policy throughout the organization.

The Clinical Pharmacist will work as a part of a close-knit team to provide individualized health promotion and disease prevention, including administration of immunizations, diabetes and smoking cessation programs, as well as other Subject Matter Expertise (SME) programs as developed by AHF, with appropriate collaborative drug therapy management authority. This includes prescriptive authority where this is legally and organizationally authorized, such as PrEP and PEP therapies.
