The Director of Contracting and Provider Relations is responsible for projecting and integrating the Mission and Core Values of the organization within and outside of the Public Health Department. Leading the Contracting & Provider Relations functions for the Southern Bureau health plans and Provider Data Management function for the Managed Care Division. The Senior Director will work closely with the Associate Director of Provider Data Management to ensure the staff is working effective and efficiently.

The Director of Contracting and Provider Relations works collectively with the Managed Care Team to establish strategic plans for network development and expansion in new territories; supports the Provider Relations Manager(s) and Provider Relations Representatives to identify prospective providers and conduct evaluations. In addition, to working closely with the IT and other administrative departments to ensure provider data is loaded correctly to facilitate claims processing and various reports that may include provider data. Reports trends to the Member/Provider Committee.

The Director of Contracting and Provider Relations adds consistent value to the Managed Care Division by training, mentoring and developing a Provider Relations team in overall contracting with excellent negotiation skills.
