This is a dual position- we are looking for a Medical Director for the Hollywood Healthcare Center location and to take on the role as a Regional Medical Director for the Los Angeles area.
Essential Duties
Maintains standards for productivity set, on average seeing 20 patients per day. Ensures compliance with standard by coordinating patient scheduling to compensate for no-show rate.
Attends medical provider meetings (at minimum, once a month) to discuss difficult patients.
Maintains adequate provider staffing in the healthcare center to ensure smooth flow of patients. This will include coordination of vacation schedules such that not more than one provider is out on scheduled vacation.
Maintains provider productivity to standards set by management. This will include counseling staff and trouble shooting as necessary. Further help can be obtained by contacting the Chief of Medicine.
Ensures attendance of healthcare center medical staff at Friday morning seminars and recommending CME (Continuing Medical Education) programs as appropriate based on peer reviews.
Reports to Chief of Medicine at medical staff meetings on above mentioned issues
Responsible for day-to-day operations and decision making involving front office, nursing and case management in liaison with appropriate managers/directors
Responsible for the supervision of overall clinic administration.
Regional Director
The Regional Director will oversee all daily operations of all business lines (except pharmacy) that operate in his or her defined geography. The Regional Director will seek to expand operations within his or her defined geography.
Manage daily and overall regional needs to assure compliance with expectations of departmental, regional, company, contractual and governmental goals and regulations
Evaluate and recommend continuous improvement to programs operating in his or her geography on an ongoing basis and participate in the annual evaluation process.
Supervises growth and development of (all business lines) that operate within his or her geography in conjunction with business line managers.
Seeks funding opportunities to support operations within his or her geography.
Participation in Meetings/Committees
Medical Staff Meeting.
HIV Intercity Rounds.
Other meetings as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
