Managing Director, Risk Analytics Modeling

The Model Risk Oversight (MRO) team within Corporate Risk Management is responsible for identifying and managing model risk at the company. We are looking for an experienced model risk professional to join this highly engaged, driven and innovative team. The successful candidate will work on various highly visible and impactful projects that promote robust model risk practices.
This is a people leader role and reports to the Sr. Managing Director, Risk Analytics/Modeling. What You Are Good At Provide subject matter expertise to expand performance monitoring framework, technical validation framework and model data management:
• Develop and enhance company wide model performance monitoring framework including analysis and standardization of model performance metrics.
• Perform technical model implementation reviews to test compliance with standards for implementation and change management, access management, and data quality.
• Develop and enhance data framework by collecting, organizing and integrating data from various sources for use in model validations and model performance monitoring.
• Provide subject matter expertise on model risk management related areas to both the model owners and model validation teams, particularly in the areas of model performance monitoring, model technical implementation and data management
The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial, self-starter spirit with a proven ability to develop new ideas and implement them with technically sound concepts.
• Master’s degree or equivalent work experience in quantitative disciplines, computer science, or related area
• 7 years of experience in financial services, related to model development, implementation, validation or use
• 5 + years of people management experience
• Knowledge of C# or other object-oriented programming language required
• Knowledge of SQL Server or other relational database development highly preferred
• Experience with MS Access and MS Excel with use of VBA
• Proficiency using MS Word and MS PowerPoint to maintain documentation and relay pertinent and precise information to senior management
• Experience with business intelligence or data visualization tools a plus
• Sharp critical thinking and problem solving skills
