Senior Rail Engineer Program Manager

Job Summary
The Program Manager – Senior will use creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented problems. They will make decisions and recommendations that are authoritative and have an important impact on extensive organizational activities. In addition, the Senior Program Manager will set priorities and reconciles directions from competing interests, while working on programs with complex features.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead major program teams for the organization

  • Familiar with transportation clients and their rail and transit needs

  • Sales and pre-marketing to expand PM services in CA and West Coast

  • Supervise multiple organizational segments or teams

  • Recommend necessary facilities, personnel, and funds for program implementation

  • Oversee technical, legal, and financial aspects of the entire program

  • Establish program objectives, guidelines, and requirements

  • Collaborate as a leader within an office team environment

  • Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs.

    Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of rail and transit industry standards and guidelines

  • Strong business development skills

  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with railroad clients

  • Proficient in program management with at least 10 years of experience

  • Lifelong learner, continuously updating knowledge on contemporary issues

  • Other duties as assigned or required to meet business needs.

    Required Education And Experience

  • Civil Engineer Degree from an accredited University

  • 15 years’ experience

Preferred Education And Experience

  • 15 plus years in the Rail Engineering Industry or the Construction Industry are preferred

  • PE or PMP Certification is a plus

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Supervise several organizational segments or teams

  • Recommend facilities, personnel, and funds required to carry out programs

  • Oversee the technical, legal, and financial issues of an entire program

  • Determine program objectives and requirements

  • Develop standards and guidelines

Additional Information
Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 / year.
